General

BPW Axle lift devices
As an option, multi-axle vehicles can be equipped with
O an axle lift to reduce the wear on the tyres when driving
unladen or with a light cargo. BPW off ers axle lifts for
positioning in the middle or at the sides of the axle.

Side mounted axle lift
A side mounted lift is recommended for lifting the fi rst
axle and in vehicles with limited ground clearance, high
axle loads or long suspension travel.

Central mounted axle lift
The lifting device can be arranged in the centre of the
axle for lifting the middle (rear) suspension axle or if
space is limited.
This axle lift device is attached to the frame by
crossmembers in the middle of the vehicle. The lift bag
forces must also be absorbed by a crossmember.
