cOLOUR cODES FOR IMPORTANT O RINGS & LIP SEALS

Servos used to assist clutch actuation in trucks and
buses are submitted to harsh daily use. Material used
in Trucktechnic seal manufacure is the fruit of years
of study and experience.

Avoid premature failure by using Trucktechnic repair kits. The type of seals
used and their positions in the servo can be identified in our exploded views of
units and repair kits.

1. O-RINGS

NBR
For components subjected to air pressure only.

EPT
For components in contact with hydraulic fluid

Silicone
For components subjected to high temperature

FPM
For components subjected to high temperature, also resists glycol (very few
servos - beware!)

2. LIP SEALS

SBR OR NBR
For hydraulics, NBR for air side, black is
used when application is obvious.

NPT for Seals & Lip Seals
Main air seals made in ordinary NBR
are 6 x less resistant to wear than this
material.
EPT
Highly resistant to swelling in all types of
hydraulic fluid (DOT3, DOT4, DOT5)

FPM
Used on the hydraulic side, min-
eral oil is the controlling medium.
Ex:970.051.205...

Easily identified with TRUCKTECHNIC ® logo engraved on the individual seals.
