Haldex

An Introduction to Haldex Calipers

Haldex calipers are all air actuated, mostly fitted to trailer applications for 19.5” & 22.5” wheels.
Haldex calipers are unhanded so the same caliper is fitted to both sides of the vehicle or trailer.

Haldex caliper part numbers are 5 digits long. Early Mark II, III & IV calipers start with an 8, later
Modul X calipers start with a 9.

Mark II – From 03/1999 – Adjuster pins are covered by a protective cap with o-ring
Mark III – From 10/2000 – Adjuster pins are covered by a protective cap without o-ring
Mark IV – From 11/2001 – Adjuster pins stand out, no protective cap fitted

All the above are monoblock calipers (one piece)

Modul X is a two piece caliper - Adjuster pins are covered by a protective cap without o-ring.
