Rubber-steel bushes
The rubber-steel bushes pressed into the connecting rods
guarantee a low-maintenance mounting.

Changing bushes
The bushes in the connecting rods can either be pressed
in and out under a press (a), or changed under the vehicle
with the BPW installation device (b).
When replacing the bushes it is important to ensure that
they project evenly on both sides (arrows) after assembly.

Apply soapy water or another lubricant to the bushes
before fi tting them.
Connecting rod attachments
The connecting rods are attached to the axle beams,
connecting pieces and equalising beams using hexagon
bolts.
Where there is an offset equalising beam (for steering
axles) a threaded rod is used with a spacer tube.
Reducing sleeves can be used for the attachment of
Ø 36 connecting rods with M 30 bolts (see attachments).
